Remember this post of mine? Well Vera Wang, your line at David's Bridal is spectacular...I have no words. All of the details and feminine textures that I have always loved from Vera Wang are now available at more than obtainable prices. Hurry up girls and make your appointments for February 11th when the gowns hit the stores. It's nearly impossible to pick a favorite. I might even have to buy the pink one and save it in my closet for a big black tie event.

VERA WANG UNDER $1,500??

It's NOT sample sale time! Vera Wang announced today that she will be partnering with David's Bridal to launch a new bridal collection. Okay I'll be frank- I'm not sure how I feel about this?! As a Vera Wang bride myself, part of the allure of her gowns have always been (to me) the high quality couture feel and materials used on the gowns....I'll be curious to see how she can pull this off with price points of $500-1,500. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that every bride should have to pay crazy prices for designer duds.

What do you think? Love it or hate it? Personally, I love that her gowns will be accessible to brides everywhere, but I'm weary to think the fabrics and materials might be compromised.

I am a huge Project Runway fan. One of my all time favorite designers on the show (ever) would have to be Carol Hannah. One day while endlessly browsing Etsy, I came across her ready to wear Etsy shop and her wedding collection on Etsy...I nearly died of excitement! I've been reading her blog and checking her website for updates on her collections ever since. Yesterday while looking on her site I noticed that it is completely updated with the most gorgeous wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses. One of my favorite things to do in my spare time is to be creative and I'm so lucky to be surrounded by so many awesome people in this industry!! I don't want to give away too many of the details, but in late February/early March I will be sharing an incredible inspirational photo shoot with all of you. One of my all time favorites is the brainchild of all of this...photographer extraordinaire Danny Weiss! So many incredible NYC vendors are working hard to put this shoot together, but I wanted to share a glimpse into one of them. Anna Zhu from Annlum Red. Anna is making the gown couture for the shoot. Yesterday we had a muslin fitting of the gown with our model...and well...I'm blown away! Ladies you need to run and meet with Anna in her midtown studio to create the wedding gown of your dreams! She also specializes in itty bitty's, mother of the bride, and bridesmaid dresses. When I saw the last picture, which is one of her designs/creations, I nearly fell off my chair! Anna painstakingly put this gown of over 3,000 hand made petals together in less than a month! OH...did I mention how sweet she is?!

People often ask me what I miss the most about Alphabet City and the East Village, where I lived for nearly a decade. On the top of my list is walking by Selia Yang everyday, and driving by it on the M8 to work. Selia Yang is just about the best bridal designer out there if you ask me. If you haven't had the pleasure of going to one of her boutiques (no shoes allowed)...RUN and make an appointment. Her shop in the East Village houses her samples from previous seasons at discounted prices. Her samples are not the run of the mill sample dresses...they are pristine as if you had ordered the dress just for yourself. Her Tribeca store leaves me speechless. I often daydream about "the one that got away", you see it was between my dress and Selia Yang's 2008 Bordeaux. If 2009's Jeane (pictured above in green) was available when I was getting married, mark my words, that would have been my dress! Selia Yang is also the queen of adornments and bridal corsages at the waist! This post is especially for my friend...who is equally obsessed with Selia's designs...Maybe we should go to her Tribeca Sample Sale this weekend (Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm) just for fun? No appointment necessary! And if any out of towners are reading this...Selia Yang's collection is now available at Saks.

I think it's safe to say that anything photographer Brian Dorsey shoots makes me squeal out loud for joy! This wedding is no exception! I first laid eyes on this adorable couple when I saw their E-Pics on Brian Dorsey's Blog. I never pictured myself in a ballgown on my own wedding day until Monique Lhuillier's Spring 2010 "Sunday Rose" hit the runway. Oh how I LOVE this dress! So I'll leave you today with this stunner of a gown.

Last minute news (if you haven't already heard), Pronovias is having an exclusive sample sale tomorrow June 27th (my birthday!) at their flagship location here in Manhattan. Click here to get an appointment. Their website states "Save up to 75% on selected gowns from Pronovias & Manuel Mota". If you have never visited the salon it is definitely worth the trip! It's a beautiful shop, the service is impeccable and the gowns are moderately priced.
