SPEECHLESS

I had planned on starting my morning with more ideas for a Hoboken wedding. Well those plans must be put on hold!

Yesterday I received a package in the mail that has left me speechless!!! I am so lucky to wake up every morning and know that the day ahead is filled with joy and beauty. Everyday I get to surround myself with gorgeous images and meet people in love. The couples I meet along the way are truly what make this all worth while, especially the brides!

About three weeks ago I had the pleasure of coordinating the wedding of two very talented and beautiful people,(inside and out...wait till you see!), Jamie Rubin and Arnold Kovelman. Together they own and operate the immensely popular website Max and Chloe. The website is so popular that it generates over 4 million visitors a month!

Collectively they also own and design 3 jewelry lines, a fine jewelry line: Brian Danielle, a costume jewelry line: Blu Bijoux, and a third jewelry line that is set to launch that features sterling silver and gold vermil pieces. All of their lines can be found and purchased at the Max and Chloe website.

What I love the most about Max and Chloe is that there is something for everyone at every price point. There is also a fabulous section of the website that highlights Bridal Jewelry.

Moving onto why I am so speechless...My package from Jamie and Arnold contained two of the most beautiful pieces of fine jewelry...14k gold, amethysts, and DIAMONDS! Yes diamonds! They sent me this ring and this necklace. Only the necklace is 14k white gold and has the word Believe.

I hold a special place in my heart for all the brides and grooms I meet. From the moment I met Jamie, I knew that we'd develop a friendship along the way. I loved being a part of all of their wedding plans! I can not wait to share their wedding pictures with you. Trust me you've never seen anything like it!

A big thank you to the newlyweds! I can not thank you enough for your generosity! The necklace holds a strong meaning to me...it reminds me to believe in myself because anything is possible!

Pictured are a few of my favorites from the Max and Chloe website. For this post I picked fine jewelry, all of which are perfect for a wedding. Actually, the first pair of earrings were designed by the groom Arnold for Jamie on their wedding day! They are now exclusively available on the site!

OOOhhhhhh...and don't forget about bridesmaids gifts! They have a wonderful selection that can be found here.

A little change of plans for today. I had planned on doing a post about the new W Hotel in Hoboken. Instead I thought it would be fun to show those of you not familiar with Hoboken around for a couple days. Hoboken is filled with so much beautiful architecture and lovely scenery that it is almost impossible to show you all of my favorites!  Hoboken is such a gem of a town and there are so many places perfect for engagement and wedding pictures. I'll start out with Hoboken's Lackawanna Train Station. It's no Grand Central in Manhattan, but it definitely has its own charm and recently underwent a $115 million dollar renovation.

HOBOKEN NIGHTS

When I married my Jersey boy husband I reluctantly crossed the Hudson to Hoboken, NJ. I have quickly fallen in love with this historic town. For all of you Jersey haters out there...how can you hate a place with a view like that and that only has a 5 minute train ride to NYC to boot?! I'm signing off for the weekend. If your at all interested in Hoboken stop by my blog Monday...I'm doing a big post on the W in Hoboken. Wedding in Hoboken anyone?

WHO DOESN'T LOVE ETSY?!

I happen to love all things Etsy!  I actually need to ban myself from that site entirely! It's one of those resources I wish I knew about when I was planning my own wedding. There are so many beautiful creations on there from fun boutonnieres to adorable ring bearer pillows. You can also snag a killer deal on letterpress! What I love most about the site is that you can find so many local artists from Brooklyn and Manhattan peddling their pieces left and right. Gotta love supporting local artists! The artist pictured JloveS is not a local but I adore her pieces for the right couple.

PATRICIA & IAN 05.01.09 / PART 2

The Bride absolutely loves butterflies so we placed them throughout the room. For the cocktail hour the groom had only one request, for an Irish Folk band to play. I have to say it was a great touch and it ended up being one of the highlights of the night! It really set the tone for the entire evening and got everyone in the mood to party. The calligraphy on the place cards was done by the ever popular Calligraphy by Michele. The centerpieces in the ballroom alternated between low centerpieces that mirrored the bridesmaid's bouquets, and tall centerpieces of cherry blossoms and dogwood. The guests danced the night away to the sounds of PopShop! DJ Colleen Crumbcake.

Big thanks to Chris Jorda of Chris Jorda Weddings for letting me post all of his wonderful images. Click here to check out his new blog!

Congratulations again to Patricia and Ian!

PATRICIA & IAN 05.01.09 / PART 1

Patricia and Ian held their wedding reception at the beautiful Maplewood Country Club in NJ. The bride and groom had a smile on their face the entire day. Their laughter and smiles were contagious to everyone around them. The grounds of the country club are so lush and beautiful, with cherry blossom trees and tulips everywhere! The Maplewood Country Club is an ideal location for a spring wedding. The outdoor scenery was picture perfect! Since the club was covered in cherry blossoms and tulips, we decided to carry that theme into the ballroom. Stay tuned for those pictures next...

Patricia's View 05.01.09

Of course I have to start the post by saying how much I love Patricia's Boston Terrier Maybeline. Look at that face! You will quickly all learn about my obsession with dogs! Everyones hair was perfectly in place by Gian's Hair Studio in Kenilworth, NJ. The bride's mother Rita owns the salon with her brother Gian.  Their fantastic makeup (that didn't budge all day/night long) was done by DeVenir Bridal.

The bride wore a beautiful dress by Jim Hjelm, and the veil was handmade by her aunt using lace from Sposabella Lace in NYC.

The bride carried a bouquet of all peonies while the bridesmaids carried spring mixes that had lots of berries, ranunculus and parrot tulips. All of the flowers for the day were done by The Emerald Garden in Milburn, NJ.
