DAY AFTER (KIM & TIM)

Photos: Aga Images

I am so incredibly giddy to share these pictures with you today! I first met Aga and Marcin of Aga Images when Vince and I hired them to shoot our wedding day. It was love at first site...with them AND their images! They are both totally awesome and uber talented, check out their blog and you'll be hooked. Even if I weren't in this line of work, I would be in touch with Aga and Marcin indefinitely! Awhile back I posted a few pictures of Monmouth University (where I met my hubby)...a couple emails and a few phone calls later we decided to coordinate a shoot there. You see I had the perfect couple, and the perfect photographers!!! The small pics on my blog can't do these images justice! Check out the full size images here.

Kim and Tim were married in February at the beautiful Addison Park in NJ. They had a picture perfect wedding day. The weather was mild and Laffler Photography captured all the beautiful images of their wedding day. Click here to see pictures from Kim and Tim's wedding...and BTW Kim made her centerpieces herself! Talk about DIY!

Thanks again to Aga, Marcin, Kim and Tim...It was wonderful spending the day with you all. One more thing...Flowers by Diane in Hoboken provided the bouquet!

PURE ELEGANCE

Elegance is one of the many words that come to mind when I think of Della Carta Studios. Kathryn Podorksy, the artist behind the pen, is an incredible scribe. Kathryn designs breathtaking wedding invitations, menus, and just about anything and everything you can dream up! You will find the most lovely designs via her website and also on her Etsy page. Right now I am especially in love with these custom birth announcements on her Etsy page (my bestie just had a baby and I'm the godmother). I'm also in the process of revamping my business card and logo...so this design has been on my mind as well. Della Carta Studios takes my breathe away. If any of my brides would like to check out her work in person, I have a ton of samples available thanks to Kathryn. Just a little tidbit, Kathryn's work is so good that she has even designed Angelina Jolie's stationary (along with around 15 other celebrities)...yup, her work is that good!

RIFLE PAPER CO

I think Anna Bond the creative force behind Rifle Paper Co has such a whimsical point of view that can not be matched! Her designs are ridiculously fun and are so incredibly unique. Her custom invitation designs are mini works of art to say the least, and I love how personal she makes them, you really get a sense about who the couple is and the vibe of their wedding day. Talk about an invitation setting the tone...Anna has definitely nailed that for sure! I also love that Rifle Paper Co is making strides in going green by designing wedding websites for couples that want their guests to RSVP online to save on some paper. The wedding website can also hold information about directions, locations, things to do, accommodations and registries (just to name a few). Rifle's Blog is crazy addictive. Period. Whenever I want to smile I check it out and so should you. I adore all of her DIY posts, especially her recent post for DIY Bridesmaid Cards, you can also click here for the full set of instructions via Once Wed (another favorite site of mine). Ciao for now.

PHOTO OP FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Photos: Chelsea Nicole Photography CLICK ON THE PIC ABOVE FOR DETAILS

A few weeks ago I posted a fantastic contest that Chelsea Nicole was holding on her blog for when she was in NYC. She received such an overwhelming response that she decided to do something so incredibly rad! Check it out here! This is a great opportunity to get those boudoir pics you always wanted for your honey...or maybe some cute pics of you and your favorite furry friend, the list goes on. Best part- it's for a good cause! What are you waiting for...check it out!

Photos found on Lucky Luxe

I LOVE the Lucky Luxe blog...and I'm amped that they have a website in the works! The designer Erin is a genius and I totally dig the vintage vibe of all her designs (I actually would love to have my logo and business cards done by Lucky Luxe!). I love paper and calligraphy to my core. It always breaks my heart that so much time goes into picking out wedding invitations and 99% of the time they end in the trash. That's why I love these save the dates so much...who would dare to throw away these beauties? Lately being green has been on my mind, and this fits right in. I love the idea of collecting vintage hankies to use in this way. I actually did something similar at my own wedding. I collected vintage hankies and gave them to all the important women in my life on my wedding morning as mementos (along with cameos). Reuse/Recycle!

RED CAPRET WEDDING

Photos found here

I am constantly getting inspiration from the red carpet for weddings, and last nights Primetime Emmy Award show was no exception. We can all take a lesson or two from the gowns, the accessories, the makeup, the hair, and all the dapper men.

ECO FRIENDLY INVITES

One of my crazy cool brides for 2010 just introduced me to Paperless Post, and the site is totally rad! It lets you create custom, personalized invitations and announcements without having to sacrifice style, like other online sites. What I love about Paperless Post the most is that every invitation seems really luxe...some letterpressed and all. The site also has a lot of cute features. For example when you send the invitation out via email, the envelope is addressed to the recipient, and when they click on the envelope, it opens up to show the invite inside. Guests can then click again to RSVP and even have the option to print out the invite. I'm already a huge fan and can't wait to send my first Paperless Post invitation out. They are super stylish and tug on the heart strings of the Recessionista in all of us!

WOOF

Photos: Art of Love

Anyone who knows me, knows I'm slightly obsessed with dogs! I think Marie Labbancz of Art of Love captured "TJ" of Beautiful Blooms perfectly! Beautiful Blooms is a little far, located in Philly, but I love visiting their blog from time to time. They always have the most beautiful florals. They created these images above to use as greeting cards, but many brides are already jumping at the bit to have these styles recreated for their pups on their wedding day. Just look at that heart...now there's a ring pillow! Also take a look at this wedding that Beautiful Blooms did flowers for the pups! Too darn cute!

DAYS...MONTHS AFTER PART 2

I learned a HUGE lesson that rainy afternoon...trust your photographer! Once it started to rain, I was defeated and wanted to throw in the towel. Danny kept assuring me that I looked beautiful and that lighting was great for photos. Danny made us feel so comfortable and we trusted him to get amazing images...so we agreed to shot in the rain for 5 minutes or so. We had no idea that the pictures would be this ridiculously good! I kicked myself when Danny sent us the pictures...I wish we had let our guard down even more and shot longer...like Danny wanted too!

I'm sending Danny Weiss a big virtual hug! I really hope one of my brides will hire him soon! He's too good to pass up ladies and gents!

DAYS...MONTHS AFTER

I'll be the first to admit that this post is a little self indulgent. A few months after our wedding Danny Weiss was offering a free (yes FREE) Day After Session. So naturally, since I stalk his blog practically everyday, I answered his ad...and he picked us! Vince and I already had wonderful wedding day shots, thanks to Aga Images...but since we had a winter wedding, I jumped at the chance to have some greenery in the background! I was also seriously dying to have the opportunity to put on my Vera one last time. I also loved the idea of having laid back pictures and not worrying about getting my dress dirty. Danny took us to his favorite "secret" location. The shoot was going great...and then...the sky opened up...torrential down pour! So much for not getting my dress dirty. Danny did an incredible job in such a short period of time. We only got to shot for about 15 minutes before the rain came. If you haven't hired a photographer yet...call Danny!

Tune in Monday for the shots in the rain. Which truth be told...are my favorites!!

FREE TTD SESSION!

To be honest, I was never really a fan of the whole Trash the Dress phenomenon until my own Day After Session inadvertently turned into a TTD Session because of a thunderstorm (more on that later this week). Now I'm kinda obsessed with them, as long as the dress doesn't get too trashed!

While scouring the net I came across photographer Chelsea Nicole's fantastic contest for a free TTD Session for one lucky NYC couple! Check out all of the details here for the contest! But HURRY you only have until September 25th to enter! I've been a fan of her work for quite some time and I always love seeing her weddings featured on Rock n Roll Bride. I also visit her blog religiously!

THANKS Chelsea Nicole, your work is pure awesomeness!
